What We Do & Why

This is a true life story captured in art and text. The paintings; described beautiful in colours and shape are fused together, capturing the emotions and experiences of a heart transplant recipient Namik Ozturk; as Ozturk painted the imagery himself, its not difficult to see or understand where he is coming from.

Namik Ozturk suffered with heart disease for seven years and was lucky enough to recieve a heart transplant at Harefield Hospital, part of the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust

He has put this unique project together to help others who are sufferers of heart disease, other organ diseases and helps promotes organ donation awareness. Funds raised from the project are donated via justgiving to Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust Charitable fund & Motability, their work helps improve the lives of many patients. On frequent vists to hospital; Namik met many individuals and families who have all felt the pain of organ disease. He has heard many stories of hardship and has decided to help in his own way.

The paintings are his own personal story and reflect his emotions of going through the whole process and eventual successful heart transplantation.

Ozturk has kept production of these valuable products within the United Kingdom and uses one of the UK’s best suppliers in the business ‘Catchincolour’ based in Surrey.

Tired of persuading bureaucratic fund raising organizations with their out of date policies, Ozturk’s process for fund raising is quite simple and leaves no room for hangers on and lengthy decision making.

The funds go directly to the very people who are in the thick of it, that’s where it should go that’s exactly what he is going to do.

Customers order online from a wide range of prints and pay through papal’s secure internet shopping. The order is then sent directly to Catchincolour and delivered within five to ten days; after which the donation is made electronically.

There are no fancy offices and administrative staff swallowing up the revenue, everything is done via email and is kept totally
paperless.

The whole process is designed for maximum efficiency, need and demand, Ozturk doesn’t even carry stock as he considers it a waste of many resources, all customer orders are on demand.

We look forward to printing yours.

We’re here to create.

A donation of £10.00 is created every time a ‘Permission to Live’ image is sold. We aim to help improve the lives for people who suffer from organ diseases, through the expertise of the medical world and motability.

About the charity we support:

The Royal Brompton & Harefield Charitable Fund

Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK and among the largest in Europe. The Royal Brompton & Harefield Charitable Fund is a registered charity dedicated to supporting Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals by awarding grants for medical research, specialist equipment and amenities to improve patient care.

As ‘Permission to Live’ grows, it will personally and financially aid families who need support, where the choice of having to fill up the car to visit a sick love one or pay for the electricity bill is no longer a burden on their minds. Patients who have terminal or long term organ disease do not have enough support, definitely not financially, often they are unsure what is available to them.
